Greatness Revisited

I would like to do a study of Americans on what “greatness” means to them. “Superpower status”? “victorious in war”? “diplomatic”? “generous”? “famous”? “wealthy”? “wise”? ??? The great people I think about were wise and fairly nonviolent: Buddha, Jesus (without the Christ or the Son of God added), Ida B. Wells, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, MLK… They weren’t satisfied with personal success but wanted fairness and inclusion for others less fortunate and spent their lives in selfless pursuit of equality and freedom for all.

Trump’s “greatness” was something else entirely.
